Eligibility Criteria
- The admission in the B.A.M.S Courses will be through National Eligibility-cum-entrance test (NEET) to be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) & as per the notification of Punjab Govt.
- The Candidate must be NEET-UG qualified.
- 12th standard with Science or any other equivalent examination recognized by concerned state governments and education boards, provided the candidates passes the examination with 50% aggregate marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- The candidates must pass +1 and +2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as regular candidates From the recognized institution.
- Out of total seats, 85% will be for candidates from Punjab state, whereas the remaining 15% seats will be open for candidates from any other state/ UT of India.
- In order to be eligible for admission for a particular academic year, it shall be necessary for a candidates to obtain minimum of 50th percentile in NEET for the said academic year. In respect of candidates belonging to other Scheduled castes. Scheduled tribes, other backward cases, the minimum marks shall be at 40th percentile.
- Scheduled Caste/Backward Classes category candidates shall be liable to apply for the Post-Matric Scholarship and Reimbursement of Fee If They Fulfill the Conditions Laid down by the Department of Welfare, Govt. Of Punjab.
- Candidates applying under any of the reserve category are directed to bring all the relevant document/ proof of respective category at the time of admission.
For NRI Candidates
Candidates who want to apply under NRI Quota seats will have to qualify NEET- UG. The candidates must pass the +2 examinations with 50% aggregate marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
Age
The candidates must have attained minimum age of 17 years as on 31st December of that particular year.
